Don Sturdy

Don Sturdy travels with his uncles and runs into adventure in various exotic locales. A Stratemeyer Syndicate production under the Victor Appleton pen name, 20 titles were published between 1925 and 1935.

The series was advertised to take on the popularity of Tom Swift, another series by the Victor Appleton name.

Like Tom, Don Sturdy gets involved in amateur archeology (which resembles looting) and hunting. However, Don Sturdy is purely an adventurer and not an inventor.
